This scale is very attractive....and that's about the best part. It does not seem to be the most accurate...you can get different readings every time you step on it. I calibrated it when we first received it by using some known bar bell weights. It seemed accurate enough at the time. However, we have it set in out bathroom on a tile floor. Moving it just slightly will change the reading. I wanted this one because it measures in tenths and replaced a scale that only measured in fifths. However, the old scale always gave the same results. And this will vary not just in tenths but in pounds. I would not recommend it.

We have 3 people using this scale, all in varying weight classes, and all of us find this scale to be accurate and easy to use. It does want to be on a flat surface, so carpet could be an issue, fyi, but once it's stable it is within .1 lb accuracy. We even tested it with 1 lb and 5 lb free weights. It picked up the weight precisely in all 3 weight categories that we tested.
It looks beautiful and is a much more welcome partner vs. a clinical medical scale.
Stylish look and a microprocessor, too,

Frankly, I wish this were a mechanical scale. It looks pretty good with a varnished surface and what looks like real teak.
But then the electrical world intervenes in the initial setup and use. I tried to just pull out a plastic tab that kept the CR2032 battery from wearing out before sale, and instead it broke off and I had to remove the battery and clear out the plastic debris keeping it from getting some power and working.
That done, I found that tapping at the indicated spot with the foot was an iffy thing. Doing so was supposed to get it in gear, so to speak, and get ready to measure your weight. Tap, tap, tap, tap-tap ... Finally the LCD flicker into action and you are supposed to wait until it settles down before stepping on the scale.
OK, now I'm on the scale and it says I'm 162.3 lbs (the default unit, a switch on the bottom can be set to KG for those from Euroland and the rest of the world). I step off, it powers down. I do the tap, tap, tap...Read more
