This review is from: Health o Meter BFM688-81 Weight Tracking, Body Fat & Hydration Percentage Scale, Champagne, (Weighs up to 380lbs) (Health and Beauty) I was looking for a scale to replace my old clunker that had rusted away.
I wanted one with the ability to measure body fat. This scale not only measures body fat but also fluid content as well. Best, it has a memory to hold up to 12 measurements for each of the four users which you can review at the touch of a button and it can keep track of up to four different individuals. Of course if you are the only one using the scale you can program all four buttons for yourself and then save up to 48 measurements for yourself. You can also use it without storing measurements so any number of people can use it. For the four people you do want to keep track of the programming is simple. Choose one of the four buttons on the front of the scale and hold it down along with the "Select" button. This review is from: Health o Meter BFM688-81 Weight Tracking, Body Fat & Hydration Percentage Scale, Champagne, (Weighs up to 380lbs) (Health and Beauty) This is the second Health-O-Meter scale we've had and both have proven to be reliable and easy to set up. This one was purchased because of the BMI function which was not included in the previous purchase. Both of these scales are to be highly recommended. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I've had it about three weeks, and here's my impression so far.
Pros: - It is pretty consistent. I weigh myself three or four times in a row, and the measurements are within 1.5 pounds - about a half a percent - so that's pretty good, measurement-wise. - It is a good size to stand comfortably on. I don't feel like I'm falling off the sides of it. - Big, clear display. Easy to read. Cons: - It powers off WAY too quickly. Don't step off the scale and expect to be able to see the reading, because it will be gone. - It takes too long to start up. I know, it's only a few seconds, but... every time? I'm used to an analog, non-power scale, so any delay is a change. - I don't know about the body fat and hydration readings. Is it really possible that I'm only 38% hydrated? - Not sure how sturdy it is. One of my kids did something to it (I don't know what,...Read more |
